The Texas church shooter had been previously convicted in a military (Air Force) court martial. This alone was grounds to deny him the right to possess or purchase a firearm.
Now, the truth is coming out that he purchased his firearms from a licensed dealer and passed the FBI's background check.
"How?" you ask?
Well, it seems that the Air Force never entered his conviction into the federal database.
Unbelievable.
